Closed Rhinoplasty (No Scar)
This patient underwent a scarless, closed rhinoplasty to refine her nasal tip and improve her profile contour. She had no bruising and was back to her regular routine within 1 week. Because her rhinoplasty was closed, there were no visible external scars. Use of the piezoelectric ultrasonic tool allowed minimal bruising and no osteotomies.
African American Rhinoplasty
This patient finally made time for herself after she retired. She wanted her nose to be less “floppy” and better fit her face. She underwent a nose treatment which included an alar base reduction, which improved with width of her nose. She was able to attend a wedding a week after her surgery.
Minimally Invasive Rhinoplasty
This patient underwent a minimally invasive rhinoplasty. She wanted a subtle change with slightly more refinement. After photo is from 1 month after surgery.
About Rhinoplasty (Nose Job)
Over 1 million people undergo rhinoplasty (nasal surgery) every year. The highest rate of nose reshaping surgery by country is Brazil, followed by Mexico, America, and Iran. While it is more common for women to have nasal surgery, about 30% of rhinoplasties are performed on men. Nose plastic surgery is the second most common cosmetic procedure (after breast augmentation).
Rhinoplasty means “to shape the nose”. Today this can be done through a vast array of techniques. Sometimes surgical procedures are used, and sometimes nose re-shaping can even be done using non-surgical methods.
Dr. Bryant performs all methods of rhinoplasty. Open, closed, and non-surgical. During your consultation, a customized treatment plan will be formed. The final method of nasal re-shaping will be based on your unique needs and goals. He is also one of the first adopters of using ultrasonic sculpting in rhinoplasty. This method uses a piezoelectric device which gently sculpts nasal shape and avoids breaking the nasal bones. The result is a more natural appearing contour along with a quicker recovery, less pain, and less bruising.
Dr. Bryant offers photo morphing during his rhinoplasty consults. During this photo morphing session, standard pre-operative photographs will be taken. Once these photos are taken, you will review them together. Some examples of what your nose may look like after surgery will be created. The purpose of these morphed photographs is to encourage conversation and ensure that both you and Dr. Bryant are on the same page regarding the changes you want to see.
Dr. Bryant enjoys creating incredibly natural appearing, beautiful results. While every case is different, and some patients desire a striking change in appearance, he has found that most patients want to look like an improved version of themselves, not like a completely different person. Since he is well versed in all methods of nose re-shaping, he is very comfortable customizing his approach for each patient.
Before your procedure, you will meet with both Dr. Bryant and his surgical care coordinator. Your treatment plan will be reviewed and you will be provided with all pre-operative and post-operative instructions. Should your procedure require any medications, prescriptions will be provided as well. In most cases, patients experience minimal discomfort after surgery and simply take acetaminophen (Tylenol) as needed.
